Kokomo Art Association Recycled Art Show

About the Recycled Art Show

This event celebrates the ingenuity of artists who transform discarded materials into stunning works of art. By giving new life to objects that would otherwise end up in a landfill, we aim to inspire creativity, promote sustainable practices, and educate visitors on the importance of environmental renewal.

Definition of Recycled Art

To qualify for the show, all submitted artwork must meet the following criteria:

  • Originality: All work must be original and created by the artist.

  • Material Requirement: At least 80% of the artwork must be made from recycled or reused materials.

  • "Recycled" Defined: We define recycled/reused materials as elements that were originally manufactured and would typically be considered junk or headed for a landfill/recycling center if not rescued and repurposed in a manner different from their original use.
